Benevolence
I hate how my parents make us come home for Easter. It's a religious holiday, but they see it as a chance to get the family to get together. Like Christmas isn't enough for them or something.
I'm sorry, Fay, I don't mean to take this all out on you. It's just, sometimes they get so damn insufferable, and I can't stand to be around them and listen to discussions of politics, or how much good Harry Potter is doing (no offence to his kids, cause I don't know them). Hey, don't get me wrong, the man is awesome, but you gotta start thinking that maybe this whole continuing to talk about him all the time starts wearing on him. I'd get pretty sick of being followed and being in the paper every other day. Can't people just talk about something else for once?
I'd actually rather talk about being hitched up in some marriage that will be beneficial to the family.
But we go back to school soon, thank Merlin. I'm itching to get back to class, surprisingly. With OWL's coming up, my parents are getting antsy that I do well, so they'll be sending regular post to see how I'm doing.
I ask you, is that really fair?

This whole studying by yourself thing has gotten on my nerves. I mean, I wouldn't even be studying, but I promised myself that I would work harder this year, on account of the OWL's. That, and my parents would probably be disappointed if I don't do well. Family honor and all that, you know.
At least I'm sure of an O in Divination...If I could just crack open that Transfiguration text, it'd be smooth sailing.
Speaking of Divination, I did another reading today. Things seem to be looking up, if I read between the lines. And they said to watch out for someone new. Meaning a new friend? Maybe. I hope so.
Watch. With my luck, it'll involve me running into someone, and getting my books knocked down. Oh the joy.
Mm, that reminds me. I'm almost out of gum. When's the next Hogsmeade weekend? I need to restock my stash.
